Born in 1974, he is married and has two children. He received a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Malawi (1998) and a Master of Laws from University of Warwick (UK) (2008).

He was appointed High Court Judge in 2009 and joined The Commercial Court in 2012 based at Lilongwe Registry. He previously served as Resident Magistrate and later Senior Deputy Registrar. He has been involved in the review of the Traditional Courts Act, Prisons Act and is the current Chair of the Malawi Prisons Inspectorate.
